Suboxone is an opioid antagonist, prescribed for the treatment of painful withdrawal symptoms due to opiate and opioid addiction. You should not take Suboxone unless it is prescribed to you by a physician or healthcare professional. Many people abuse Suboxone for non-medical purposes. In general, it is dangerous to mix opiates.

Suboxone is legally available by prescription only.

Opiate Addiction

Suboxone is often prescribed to help recovering opiate and opioid addicts manage painful withdrawal symptoms and addictive cravings. Many people are also becoming addicted to Suboxone as recreational use becomes more common.

Opiate Abuse

Many drug addicts are using Suboxone as a recreational drug in high doses in order to get "high".

Opiate Detox

Suboxone is prescribed to help addicts manage opiate withdrawal during detox. Suboxone is also an opioid, so chronic abuse may create dependencies that cause harmful withdrawal when use is stopped.
