LSD

Lysergic acid diethylamide, or LSD, is a psychoactive, psychedelic drug most commonly called Acid. It can be considered a "club drug" and is also known as Lucy, blotter, doses, tabs, dots, and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds".

LSD is considered a Schedule I Controlled Substance by the DEA, which implies its high potential for abuse. However, the dependencies created from chronic LSD abuse are more psychological than physical, as opposed to drugs like heroin and alcohol where physical addictions drive addicts to use simply so they will not become violently ill. People may very well become accustomed to the mind altering effects of Acid in certain settings and might feel cravings to use so they may "maximize" their recreational experience.

LSD is not considered addictive by the medical community. The body builds up a tolerance to it very quickly so you need to take more and more of it to get the same results. This tolerance is lost after not taking it for several days.

When you stop taking LSD it does not produce withdrawal symptoms like heroin or other 'pleasure drugs' as it triggers different serotonin receptors and affects different areas of the brain.
