What are the effects of hydrocodone?

How does hydrocodone make you feel? I was told that hydrocodone-based medication is pretty rough on your stomach, are there any other side effects? Long-term effects?

Prescription Drugs

Hydrocodone-based medication is available by prescription only.

Hydrocodone is an opiate used for the treatment of mild to severe pain.

We often refer to pain relief medication as "painkillers".

Hydrocodone is often combined with less-powerful, non-opioid compounds, like Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen, in an effort to lessen general toxicity of the medication.

It's a painkiller; it reduces pain. Like other opioids, new users may experience feelings of pleasure, euphoria, and a general sense of well-being in high doses. The more you use, however, the more your body needs to get high. Soon, even feeling "normal" will not be possible without proper medication. Careful.
