Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a twelve step program focusing on supporting drug addicts in their efforts to kick the drug habit. Like Alcoholics Anonymous, sponsors (People who have been successful in getting clean and sober) offer ongoing emotional support for the recovering addict. There are group meetings where recoverees can share their concerns, frustrations and successes. This sharing allows participants to see that they are not alone in what they are experiencing and see that others have succeeded by following this path.
