How long does Xanax detox take?

I am confused. I've read 2 weeks, 2 months, even a year? What is it?

Xanax is a very popular benzodiazepine known as a mood altering drug. Sometimes benzodiazepines are called "benzos" or anti-psychotic medication.

Prescription Drugs

Xanax is available by prescription only.

Xanax Addiction

Xanax addiction produces dangerous withdrawals that must be supervised by professional or medical staff.

Xanax is a benzodiazepine, used to treat anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, seizures and muscle spasms.

Xanax Detox

Detox from Xanax can be fatal if not performed under medical supervision.

Many people use Xanax to help manage their mental health, however, strong dependencies are quickly created that can produce harmful withdrawal.

Methadone and benzodiazepines (benzos) require a relatively longer stay in detox, typically 10-14 days depending on the dose and the length of time they have been used. Benzos such as Klonopin and Xanax may seem to be relatively mild drugs. That is not the case, however, and benzo withdrawal can be life-threatening if not carried out in a medical setting.
