The term "Kush" was originally used in the naming of specific strands of weed, like Grand Daddy Kush, Purple Kush, Afghan Kush, whatever. Nowadays, people throw around the term as slang for quality weed, saying "that weed was OK, but this weed is kush!"... Rappers like Lil' Wayne and Wiz Khalifa have been saying that for years.
